Go for the Gold: Olympic Team Uniforms

The world of high fashion is making its mark on the London 2012 Olympics like never before with designers renowned for their red carpet creations trading sequins for sportswear. Ralph Lauren is outfitting the United States Olympic Team from the opening ceremony to the finish line with classic American styling in a patriotic color scheme. Fashion designer Stella McCartney is behind Great Britain's geometric uniforms while Bogner, a popular German clothing brand, concocted colorful, gender specific ensembles for Germany's Olympic Gold hopefuls. Italian designer Giorgio Armani dreamed up Italy's Olympic uniforms and Cedella Marley, fashion designer and daughter of legendary musician Bob Marley, created Jamaica's inspired Olympic look.

As excitement builds for the London 2012 Olympics, TSR can't help but propose a pre-Olympic Games match up for Best Team Uniforms. Competing in this event are Team USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Jamaica. Each team will showcase their Olympic style and TSR will award the gold, silver and bronze to the top three winners.

On your mark, get set, go!

It was a well-fought contest as every country drew on their nation's top fashion talent to outperform their competition. TSR has calculated the scores and the medal winners are:

Bronze: Great Britain

Silver: USA

Gold: Jamaica

Jamaica is the clear winner for Best Team Uniforms with Cedella Marley's inspired designs that fuse edgy, military styling with subtle influences of Bob Marley. Surely, the late reggae musician would agree, with Olympic fashion like this, Jamaica is giving us "positive vibrations." Congratulations on your first Olympic Gold!

Which countries would you award gold, silver and bronze to for Best Team Uniforms?
